Leah & Ryan | Engagement Session | Long Grove Family Photographer

Leah contacted me way back in March, almost immediately after she got engaged to her sweet fiancé, Ryan. She heard about me because she went to high school with my girlfriend. This is the second client that has inadvertently come from Jess, and she's 2 for 2 on referring awesome people to me. Woohoo!

I told Leah that she should wait until the weather warms up to do their engagement photos so it could be sunny and she could wear a dress, etc. I e-mailed her in June to set up her session. Leah and Ryan were in a time crunch because they were actually moving to Nashville for a year due to Ryan's job. Since I don't have human children, I can usually fit clients in on a short notice, which is great!

We booked their session, and Leah filled out all of the documents immediately. I read her questionnaire to learn more about them as a couple so that I could best capture their love. Something that instantly stood out to me was that the couple has two golden doodles. I quickly e-mailed Leah to see if the dogs were coming. She said they were debating on whether to bring them or not based on their grooming schedules. I wouldn't let it go, so I basically forced her to bring them, and her father-in-law to be shaved the one that didn't have a grooming appointment before the session. I'm so glad I push people to do things, because the doggie photos are some of my favorites, and they are just as much a part of the family as Leah and Ryan!

Since we were working with limited time, Leah didn't have time to order clothes online. She was still able to gather inspiration from my styling service and shopping was a breeze! She nailed it!

We had a blast doing this session, the weather was perfect, and the bugs weren't TOO bad, compared to previous sessions shot in this field.  Leah was so sweet and grateful to work with me, she brought me a present to the session. A Starbucks card, note pad that says "YAAAAASSS", and two toys for my dogs. She clearly knows the way to my heart. *cue ugly crying emoji*

I sincerely wish the absolute best for Leah & Ryan for this year in Nashville! I loved working with them, and hope you all love viewing these sun drenched photos!
