The Layne Family | Family Session | Libertyville Family Photographer
While my season comes to a slow end, I realized I needed to keep up with the blog!! I’ve overshared this session on Instagram so it’s probably about time I overshare it here on the blog too. Is 40 images too many for a blog? Oh well, who cares! :)
Cate is such a special client. Her and Cora are always a pure pleasure to photograph and be around. They are so laid back and EASY to photograph. Cate trusts me almost TOO much. Not only did I ask her to move her weekend spot to a middle of the week session, but I then changed the location last minute as well. The original location was full of aggressive burrs that would be a HUGE pain in the butt to deal with. I drove up to Independence Grove a few hours before the session and it was an easy decision.
Cate used my styling service and we jumped through quite the hoops to get the dress she wore, but it was so worth it because clients now refer to her as “the mom with the yellow dress.” It came from Australia and we crossed our fingers that the site, Gypsy Jones, was legit! She topped off their look with all of her amazingly beautiful jewelry that I’m obsessed with. All of the little details really make a huge difference. Styling is SO important for a session, but so is true love. I know photo sessions are stressful, especially when you want everything to be perfect. I get it, believe me. Try to take a deep breath and just enjoy your family and the moment.
