The Johnson Family | Maternity Session | Northwest Chicago Suburbs Family Photographer

The majority of sessions I have been doing lately have been maternity sessions!! I’ve explained it to non-photographers as it being one of the only things that remain to give expecting moms a sense of normalcy and attention to their pregnancy during a pandemic! It’s a beautiful reason to get dressed up, feel like a goddess, and love on your husband, pets, other children, etc. ! I am so grateful for this career that I get to bring joy to people in the roughest of times!

Karie and Joe are SERIOUSLY the sweetest couple and I’m pretty sure you can see that from these images. They drove an hour and a half for this location, and that’s on trusting your photographer! I am so grateful for people who trust in me and the process. Karie wanted this scenery, but the location she wanted it at wasn’t going to work due to Covid related reasons. I suggested this spot and although it was so far for them, they made it work. I am always just so grateful for people who value what I do and are willing to do what it takes to make the art happen, even if it means me trekking them through 3 feet of overgrown, unpaved grass and not exactly knowing if we’d get out of the forest! :) Karie is a vet tech and she just in January started her own mobile vet practice!! What perfect timing, huh?! I unfortunately couldn’t meet their fur baby, but maybe in the future! :) Enjoy the beauty!
